Return of the Black Man by Vice Souletric ft Talib Kweli, G. Huff & Will Blaze (Review)

Review of Return of the Black Man by Vice Souletric ft Talib Kweli, G. Huff & Will Blaze

The thing that strikes you as soon as you press play on Return of the Black Man is the complex electronic backing instrumental to the main track.  Apparently this was the work of the main man in the track Vice Soulectric.  Vice is from Ohio and Return of the Black Man, which utilises old style soul quotes, appears to be a bit of a call to arms for his brotherhood.

The track is boosted by guest appearances from Talib Kweli, G. Huff & Will Blaze.  All of the rappers spit their lyrics with serious skills and each one complements the other with slick and pacy delivery.  The track overall does have a look back to Hip Hop of yesteryear, rather than the current style of cookie cutter Hip Hop, which can only be a good thing.

Return of the Black Man is the first single from Vice’s soon to be released album Vice for President 2.  With any luck this is an actual campaign to become the US president, because he will be a hell of a lot more effective than that muppet Donald Trump.
