.

Its a sentimental little guitar ballad and well worth a listen.  The use of different drum types and instruments works well with what could become a big rock/ pop hit.  “Family” starts off with an instrumental introduction that is based on percussion latin influenced rhythms.  The combination of percusion and guitar works really well providing the track with a unique sound. They say on Facebook that this song is special for them and the message of sticking with someone during difficult times and being their family when they have no one left to believe in them may resonate with many.
Boyce Avenue are part of the new wave of artists who have used the Internet, rather than extensive touring, to get their music out to the people. Consisting of brothers Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel Manzano, the trio started making music together after Daniel returned to Florida from Massachusetts.  Their social media achievements are phenomenal – today they’ve amassed over 2.3 BILLION views on YouTube, and last year claimed the Guinness World Record for ‘Biggest Independent Band in the world on YouTube’, which they still hold today.   The band are ranked higher than Beyoncé, Shakira, Ed Sheeran, and Lady Gaga and are the second biggest band in the planet on YouTube, just pipped to the top spot by Maroon 5.  Boyce Avenue also ended 2015 boasting Spotify domination, with over 200 MILLION streams and 500 MILLION in total – which likely makes them the biggest independent band on the platform in the world.
These three lads from Sarasota, Florida have just started their “Be Somebody” World tour and are in the UK from 10-24 March with venues across the country.
