Review of Running Wild EP by Too Many T’s
Too Many T’s are Leon Rhymes and Ross Standaloft, a duo from South London who hark back to the “golden era of hip-hop”. They are being described as the UK Beastie Boys, but I would liken them more to Ugly Duckling, indeed they supported Ugly Duckling on their last UK tour.
It is live where they are honing their trade, with over 150 shows in the last 10 months, including shows at Boomtown, Bestival and Camp Bestival.
They have so far released one mixtape and an EP back in 2013, but 9th October 2014 sees the release of their new EP “Running Wild“. This is a 10 track digital EP which is being released for FREE to download from their own website:http://www.toomanyts.com
The beats and rhymes are full of positivity and good vibes and a great introduction to those new to the band as well as keeping existing fans happy.
They have recruited several guest producers and rappers on several tracks, none more so than the taster they released ahead of the official release; “Butter Rug” – https://soundcloud.com/too-many-ts/6-too-many-ts-butter-rug-ft-abdominal-mc-jester-jacobs-kathika-rabbit-lazy-habits-and-parallax.
It features two of my favourite MCs Abdominal (DJ Format) and Lazy Habits and together with a Too Many T’s they have produced a great tune, which will go down well live.
Too Many T’s are also on tour in October and November to promote the new EP so go check ’em out!
