Review of Real G by Sneakbo ft Fekky & Snap Capone
So Sneakbo has been on the scene for quite a while now. Has he got that plaudits he deserves? Has he f***! Sneakbo is a quality member of the UK urban fraternity, always delivering tight rhymes with good beats and decent lyrics. So what is Real G actually like?
What hits you instantly is the heavy beats that are dominant in the track. Some basic stripped back music accompanies as well, lifting a genuinely basic synth sound to produce a decent backing. The synth does add to the track but its real strength is in the beats and the mix of rapping styles.
Whilst there aren’t any uplifting or positive messages to be found in the track, the rapping is quality. Fekky and Snap Capone aren’t just there for the ride either, adding a great complement to the main man Sneakbo. The video is typical of UK underground sounds, groups of blokes in a graffiti covered subway (not the sandwich bar).
Overall a great quality track that has proven there is life in UK rap. Just don’t think I would fancy walking in that subway with those nice gentleman all going about their G bidness.
Take a listen, I promise you that you won’t regret it. Real G is the real deal.
