Introducing Kimberly Anne

Introducing Kimberly Anne

When asked to review any single by a new artiste, in this case Kimberly Anne, first port of call for me is to look at the video. When a track notches up nearly 86,000 views in less than a couple of weeks since going live, you know there’s something special about them already. I love the fact there’s no glitz, big budget post production or designer wardrobes going on with the video. Quite the opposite. What you see is Kimberly‘s head shot throughout getting messed up. But it’s certainly no ordinary head shot. This girl is stunning with an equally strikingly hairstyle.

Her previous releases have won her some great props from Radio 1, 6 Music and Amazing Radio, with Hard as hello recently given the thumbs up by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, who made it his ‘next hype’ track. Kimberly has also caught the ear of producers FTSE and Maths Time Joy, both of whom have remixed tracks of hers.

Mark my words, this is one cookie to watch for 2014 and it’s only a matter of time before she attracts the mainstream.  New Zealand may have Lorde, and the US Lana, but we sure have Kimberly. Go check out her soundcloud too. Any of you in London on the 25th March, Kimberly will be doing a free show at the Social, and then goes on tour with Bipolar Sunshine.
