New Single Review: ‘Into The Blue’ by Kylie Minogue
Released 9th March
I have to admit that Kylie is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me and this new single is our pop princess at her very best. Armed with a stylish new video and a classic Kylie single updated with solid dance music you just have to like what is destined to be a Top 10 single release.
Review of Into The Blue by Kylie Minogue
‘Into The Blue’ is available to download on 9th March and is the first single from her 12th album Kiss Me Once, which comes out shortly after on 17th March through Warner Bros. Records/ Parlophone. As our editor commented “It’s not very often a pop legend/icon/star comes up with new material” and he is right as the record follows 2010’s Aphrodite and is her first since signing to Jay Z‘s Roc Nation Management.
The official video sees the singer at a party with French actor Clement Sibony, who is best known for his roles in The Tourist and He Loves Me Not. Who wouldn’t want to wake up to Kylie with mussed hair in the way portrayed in the video? Mixing black and white love scenes with techno colour dance scenes its a great little video. Its stylish and as long as you dont try to pick up too much from the lyrics (it is Kylie after all) then you wont be disappointed. The track is immediately catchy and if you like your pop you’ll want to add this to the old MP3 player that probably still has Spinning Around loaded. She might have started coaching on The Voice but our pint sized princess can still show the newcomers how its done.
