Worldwide Single Sales 2013

Top Selling Singles 2013

There have been some huge tunes this year that have transcended genres, channels and fanbases.  It is with this in mind we have compiled the list of top selling singles from around the globe in 2013.  One song was played absolutely every where, every five minutes and came on top and almost as popular a track.  It goes without saying that the top selling single of 2013 was Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke ft T.I. and 2013’s man of the moment Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell Williams had the magic touch in 2013.  This fact is demonstrated by him also featured on the second best seller of 2013, Get Lucky by Daft Punk.  Also, Robin Thicke hardly made a dent on the global music scene prior to Blurred Lines, despite releasing six albums.

The third best seller was Avicii’s Wake Up.  A track I personally hated, but I am obviously in the very small minority.  Macklemore and Pink made up the rest of the Top 5, with all tracks selling over 7.5m units in 2013.  To see the full list, read below.
