Details of Basement Jaxx UK Tour Announced

Now I don’t know about you, but I am probably not the biggest fan or expert in dance music.  There are a few acts where that actually doesn’t matter at all.  They cross those barriers and have become commercial enough for the masses to get, but still credible enough to pack dancefloors all over the globe.  Basement Jaxx are one such act.  They produce amazing tracks that are equally at home blaring from your iPod dock as they are from a live set in the biggest festivals.

Well, it’s been nearly two years since we last heard from long-standing godfathers of UK house, Basement Jaxx. Now the legends of dance music are getting back to what they have always done best, with a newly announced set of UK tour dates this winter.

These live dates follow the unveiling of their new single ‘Back 2 The Wild’, which is released on 20th May through 37 Adventures. This new track is quintessentially Basement Jaxx  – a super heavy weight groove featuring vocals from Korean singers Miss Emma Lee and Baby Chay, as well as tribal horns recorded in Kenya.  Having already been widely received as a tent-topping Carnival anthem, ‘Back 2 The Wild’ looks set to re-establish Basement Jaxx at the top of the UK dance scene.

The tour comes at the end of this year, kicking off in Leeds on the 28th November and hitting major venues in the big northern cities before finishing in O2 Academy Brixton, London on the 6th December.

These tickets will go on general on sale on Friday 10th May at 9am from or 0844 811 0051.

28/11 – O2 Academy Leeds

29/11 – O2 Apollo Manchester

01/12 – O2 Academy Newcastle

05/12 – O2 Academy Birmingham

06/12 – O2 Academy Brixton
