Review of Lights On by Wiley ft Angel and Tinchy Stryder
I’ve been a fan of Wiley for a while now. From back in the days before he was seen in a ‘main stream’ light he’s always been on my playlists of choice. So it’s no surprise I jumped at the chance to review his latest single.
From his latest album ‘ The Ascent’ comes his new single ‘Lights On’. And put it this way it doesn’t let me down. Featuring a newer artist on the scene to blow up, Angel and of course the ever popular fellow under ground London artist Tinchy Stryder, who has been hugely successful.
As ever it doesnt disappoint once I pressed play. The track has a great vibe and the blend of each of the artists works incredibly together. It’s current, urban and greatly composed and mixed.
Each of the artists is incredibly talented and there’s no denying Angel‘s voice, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live and he is even better in the flesh. Wiley’s lyrics are carefully thought out and flow to the point you get carried along with it. It’s a great listen and even though I was slightly put off by the video at first. I can see why it was done and edited that way.
Over all it’s no surprise we’re seeing a lot more of Wiley on our tv screens as he continues to have success and grow to be accepted in what is known as main stream. Personally I’ve always been a fan and it’s good to see he still sticks to his music roots.
