Back in the day (mid to late 90s), Texas were the darlings of the airplay charts – with three consecutive number ones from ‘White on Blonde’. But as time went on, the vogue changed and they fell out of favour. Sharleen has one of the most distinctive female vocals and this is another strong song from one of the biggest bands Scotland has produced.

The mark of a song for me is the ability to hum the hook not long after.. and even 20 minutes later, I’ve got the tune in my brain.

Texas fans will no doubt love it, but for the rest of us, it might take a little longer for the love affair to kick in. But you know, with all the 90s nostalgia and reformations happening, maybe Texas will find a new niche market, and for that basis, ‘The Conversation’ is a definite contender.

So what do you think of ‘The Conversation’ by Texas? Is it worthy of a 90s comeback? Let us know what you think by adding your comments below, tweeting us @MusicEyz or by leaving a comment on the Music Eyz Facebook page.
