Review of Work by Iggy Azalea
When I saw this fly into my inbox I knew I wanted to be the one to review it. I haven’t heard a lot of Iggy Azalea stuff, however the song ‘beat down’ and ‘Murda bizness’ which features US artist T.I. And a coupe others I do love.
What makes them stand out from the crowd is her unique sounding style and the lyrical flow she has. She has the ability to become one of the most sought after and gifted female rap stars that has the pleasure of gracing our air waves.
She is no doubt going to and I’m guessing already being compared to other female rap artists such as Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj and EVE.
Personally I think the only likeness to them artists is the fact she is female as I believe her sound and style totally sets her apart from them.
Iggy Azalea is set to release her first UK debut single ‘Work‘ in April and when I heard it for the first time being played on Radio 1 it certainly had me turning the volume up in my car.
I absolutely love it! And think it is the perfect song to release as her first official single which is from her forthcoming album. As soon as the song starts the beats kick in and you can’t help but get lost it and dance like no one is watching. The flow Iggy has is unreal and she definitely reps for female rappers. Her voice, tone and flow along with the lyrics all bring the song together and you can appreciate how much effort goes into it.
You can’t help but sing along to the hook as it so catchy and your whole body starts moving along. Hands down she is one of my favourite female rappers to be out in recent years, taking a whole new twist on the industry. I can’t wait for her album to be released it will definitely be added to my collection.
