Just Give Me A Reason by P!nk (Review)

Review of Just Give Me A Reason by Pink

When I was sent the video for ‘Give Me a Reason’ by Pink I knew I needed to review it. I’m not sure why as Pink isn’t really one of my favourite artists, but the last two songs she has released in recent months have seemed to have something about them that just grabs my attention. So it seemed only fair I gave this one a shot as well. I had heard that the latest single to be released by her featured the front man from FUN. but I had no idea how the sound and style of both artists would mix.

On pressing play on the video for the first time I was surprisingly intrigued, it all seems a bit bizarre to me in the video, but on hearing the lyrics and really paying attention it sort of fits perfectly in a weird way. There’s no denying Pink has got talent and I get the impression this album is a whole different side of her, I guess I’ve not paid attention to before and I have to admit I like it a lot.

As well as having great talent herself, having Nate feature on the track was a great idea and who ever thought of the concept needs a pat on the back. He has a whole different sound from Pink herself and with the two of them together it is a great combination. They have complete opposite sounds and styles of music, but when they are mixed together, it is like they come together as one and it blends so well, it was meant to be.

After a couple of plays of the song and intensely listening to the lyrics I came to the conclusion I liked it a lot. The chorus is extremely catchy, it had me singing along on the third listen. Everything about the song as a whole I like, the beats, the melody, chorus and lyrics all flow so nicely.

I would definitely now consider buying Pink‘s album, if I’ve liked the last three songs the rest are bound to be hits as well right? They have changed my opinion on her as an artist for sure, and she has grown and matured so much it truly shows in her songs.

What do you think of the new one from Pink? Does the collaboration work? Let us know by adding a comment below, tweeting us @MusicEyz or by posting a comment on the Music Eyz Facebook page.
