Losing Aint An Option by Sparz (Review)

Review of Losing Aint An Option by Sparz

I had never heard of Sparz before so it was interesting to watch the video for the first time, as I didn’t know what to expect. On watching it for the first time I wasn’t too sure. The artist is obviously coming up from the  underground scene in London and its clear to see he has a passion for music and what he does.

His debut single is called ‘Losing Aint An Option’ and it definitely shows he is lyrically talented and could be a successful artist, if given the chance. It isn’t going to appeal to everyone but there is definitely talent there. Throughout the song it is clear he has a huge passion for music and believes in himself.

Personally, I didn’t think the video did the song justice, there was a lot going on with special effects and lyrics flying across the screen. There was so much to take in that I occasionally lost focus on listening to the song. I think the song would have a lot more impact on viewers if the video was a little less over powering and reflected the song more.

I also think that even though the girl vocals are good, they’re not really needed on the track and it would have been just as good without them. I did however like the song overall and it grew on me a lot. Once you listen to it properly it begins to have a purpose.

It’s clear to see Sparz has a great style and approach to his music and I would love to hear his first EP and see what he has to offer.
