With a youthful laid-back style reminiscent of Colbie Caillat and Taylor Swift, songstress Sonya cites a wide range of influences. Her organic talent has been nurtured from a young age. Travelling between the US, Australia, Norway, New Zealand and now, London, Sonya has allowed her art to develop naturally, taking in influences across the board including Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morisette, Eva Cassidy and Shania Twain.

‘Now’ is a nice track and has a coming-of-age feel being more commercial than some of her earlier music. It has a real uplifting feel, showcasing her guitar playing and beautifully smooth vocals. We think she has a good future ahead if she can build on this track.

Sonya explains: “I wrote this song because I need to keep reminding myself to stop wishing away the present moment. It’s a song about celebrating yourself right now and not trying to be more like anyone else but yourself…not living in the past or too far in the future…we need to wake up and enjoy the here and now”.
