Latch by Disclosure ft Sam Smith (Review)

Review of Latch by Disclosure ft Sam Smith

OK, so first off this track isn’t new.  We aren’t first in.  We wanted to review this Disclosure track after the hype had calmed down a little, just to make sure we weren’t being swept away by the noise.

You know what?  I actually love this even more now.  The track which is probably best described as an electro-pop, dance hybrid with genuine soul undertones is a strong track.  The futuristic music is a sound that has been attempted in the past by a number of acts, but mastered by few.  The beat is hard and we love it and the way it blends in to the space age eerie sound track.

The vocals are at a really high pitch and sung incredibly well.  The featured vocals of Sam Smith add an extra layer to the track and overall brings a must listen feel to the track.  The amazing hooks throughout the track are of a level not witnessed for a number of years.

The video is a little edgy with various people in several areas of closeness bordering on intimacy.  Whilst not too risqué, you do wonder why?

Don’t let the video put you off though. Genuinely this is a must have and must listen track.  You will find yourself humming along during your first listen and singing along after the second.  A great tune!
