Anything Could Happen by Ellie Goulding (Review)

Review of Anything Could Happen by Ellie Goulding

Its been a while since we have heard new material from Ellie Goulding.  The UK queen of electric pop has been away for a while and has even found popularity in the US with ‘Lights’ making good inroads with the American public.  Well you know what yanks?  Ellie is ours and we want her back.

Review of Ellie Goulding Anything Could Happen

The new track ‘Anything Could Happen’ is quite a powerful tune.  It has some big musical arrangements and good beats.  The electro pop queen seems to have something to prove and she does so with this track.  Ellie delivers her vocals with a real craft, there are times in the song when you get that kind of feeling you might get listening to Kate Bush, something magical that you can’t quite put your finger on.

‘Anything Could Happen’ is Ellie Goulding at her best.  It uses no gimmicks, jumps on no bandwagons and doesn’t rely on any guest appearances to see the listener to the finish line.  Then again, Ellie, unlike some of her electro pop contemporaries has never had to rely on those.  If this is a taste of things to come on ‘Halcyon’ her album, scheduled for 8 October we are in for a treat.

‘Anything Could Happen’ is set for release on 30 September.  If the free download she put out ‘So On’ which features Tinie Tempah is anything to go by, this is going to be a massive hit.

In simple English, we love this track. Its great to have Ellie Goulding back.  Can’t wait for ‘Halcyon’ and now I am off to listen to the previous album. ‘Starry Eyed’ anybody?

Don’t take our word for it.  Have a listen yourself and let us know what you think by adding a comment below, tweeting us @MusicEyz or by posting on the Music Eyz Facebook wall.
