For those of you that aren’t from London, you may be forgiven for not knowing anything about Somerset House.  So what is it?  Well its stunning four wing mansion in the middle of London with an absolutely HUGE courtyard.  Over the past few years, it has effortlessly established itself as one of the best venues for live music.  The venue has already paid host to sold-out shows from the likes of Adele, Amy Winehouse, Goldfrapp, Professor Green and The Prodigy amongst many others.  They also have a very impressive ice rink and Christmas events every December.

This year’s installment of Summer Series at Somerset House already boasts an impressive roll-call of musical talent from across the spectrum – ranging from the smooth soul of Jill Scott to the exquisite melancholia of Tindersticks, the floor rattling dubstep of breakthrough superstar Katy B and even Charlotte Gainsbourg’s only UK show this year.

Now comes another level of talent, with the announcement of the support acts this year. On July 8, Katy B hits the stage with the white-hot rapper Devlin, who broke through from the grime underground and into the charts.
