2011 Sales Figure Facts To Date

Music in the UK is in a really healthy state.  The emergence of digital music formats has helped increase people’s consumption of music and has helped create a diversity on the charts and sales patterns that has rarely been seen before.  Our guest contributor Patrick Downes also known as @poptartDJ on Twitter provided the figures.

Great news for Adele who is quickly becoming a favourite here at MusicEyz as she leads the sales numbers. No surprise that Jessie J is also highly placed at number 2, selling over 1,000,000 with Price Tag and Do It Like A Dude combined.

Looking at these numbers, it is likely Adele will remain in the Top 3 at the end of year. Undoubtedly the X Factor winner is likely to feature near the top and potentially another winter release.  Watch this space.
